The team at Russell Bolton Consulting (RBC) were pleased to see Newcastle Airport crowned ‘Best International Airport Lounge in the UK’ at the World Luxury Travel Awards; one of several projects our team has managed on behalf of client Swissport.
October 2025 also saw the opening of the new Aspire Executive Lounge at Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA), part of a £20million pound investment across LJLA.
Both Aspire Executive Lounges were expertly designed and delivered by Cheshire-based architectural and interior design specialists, DV8 Designs.
The new Aspire lounge at LJLA boasts its own dedicated entrance, with a floor space that is three times larger than the previous facility with capacity for over 200 travellers. Boasting private booths, communal workspace and dedicated toilet facilities, it has proven extremely popular and exceeded expected bookings when it opened its doors.
In Newcastle, DV8 was tasked with expanding and remodelling the existing lounge, incorporating a nearby vacant unit to create the first three-tier lounge in the UK. It offers the equivalent of an economy, business and first class service, with Luxe and Suite areas for business travellers. Clever glazed panels separate the space, with fixtures and fittings designed to provide a luxurious feel.
