Work starts on site at Leeds Urban Village

December 2025

Leeds Urban Village

Work has begun on the first phase of Leeds Urban Village; a major regeneration scheme on a 3.8-acre site to the east of Leeds City Centre, with RBC appointed as Cost Consultant and Project Manager for the construction phase.

Developer Cole Waterhouse is delivering 1,102 new homes across five residential blocks with new public greenspace at the heart of the scheme. Work has now commenced on the first two blocks.

Located close to the cultural heart of the city, including Leeds Playhouse and Northern Ballet, Leeds Urban Village will be a walkable, low-carbon neighbourhood. Ground floor retail units will bring independent operators to the scheme, while residents will benefit from amenities including a gym, co-working space, residents’ lounge and roof terrace.

We are working alongside a project team comprising DLG Architects, Lichfields, Exterior Architecture and Curtins.

Ilyas Patel, Director at Russell Bolton Consulting, said: “We are pleased to be supporting Cole Waterhouse on the delivery of Leeds Urban Village. This is a landmark regeneration project that will transform a prominent brownfield site into a vibrant, sustainable neighbourhood, making a meaningful contribution to the city’s housing supply.

“As Cost Consultant and Project Manager, we will provide commercial rigour and delivery focus throughout the construction phase, ensuring the scheme achieves its aspirations for quality, sustainability and value.”
